The rest of the body is weather resistant plastic. It measures in both Celsius and Fahrenheit readings, and can even be read in the dark, thanks to a built in solar LED light at the top. The light turns on automatically in dark conditions, and last up to 10 hours under a full charge. It measures 7 3/8 inches tall, and stands on a stainless steel stake to give it a total height of 16 inches.
